The surgery will be closed on Thursday 27th January at 1.00pm for Staff Training and will be re-opened on Friday 28th January at 8.00am.

Covid-19 Booster Vaccinations

You will be sent a text message or contacted via the phone if you are eligible for a booster.  If you have not heard anything yet you can email moorland.med@nhs.net and we will check this for you.  We are also looking for volunteers to help with the clinics so if you are available please either email Bas Pickering PPG Secretary on  bas.pickering@yahoo.com or moorland.med@nhs.net and we will be in touch with you.

We are not here to suffer physical, or verbal abuse from patients, their relatives or members of the Public.

 

This practice operates a zero-tolerance policy with regards to violence or abuse. ANY patient or their relative who use threatening or offensive behaviour, either verbal or physical, in person or via the telephone or social media could be removed from the practice in order to protect our staff and other patients.

Friends & Family Test

The Friends and Family Test (FFT) is an important feedback tool that supports the fundamental principle that people who use NHS services should have the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience.

It asks people if they would recommend the services they have used and offers a range of responses. When combined with supplementary follow-up questions, the FFT provides a mechanism to highlight both good and poor patient experience. This kind of feedback is vital in transforming NHS services and supporting patient choice.

Since it was initially launched in April 2013, the FFT has been rolled out in phases to most NHS-funded services in England, giving all patients the opportunity to leave feedback on their care and treatment.

The FFT has produced more than 10 million pieces of feedback, making it the biggest source of patient opinion in the world. Scores so far have told us that at least nine out of ten patients would recommend the services they used to their loved ones. Patient comments also identify areas where improvements can be made so that providers can make care and treatment better for everyone.

The feedback gathered through the FFT is being used in NHS organisations across the country to stimulate local improvement and empower staff to carry out the sorts of changes that make a real difference to patients and their care.

While the results will not be statistically comparable against other organisations because of the various data collection methods, FFT will continue to provide a broad measure of patient experience that can be used alongside other data to inform service improvement and patient choice.

The Friends and Family Test FFT became available in GP Practices on the 1st December 2014 so please let us know if you would recommend us to your friends and family by clicking on the link to submit a test or going to the home page. Paper copies are available in the surgery for you to complete and post into our dedicated post box in the waiting room next time you visit the surgery.

Publishing results of the Friends and Family Test

The results of the FFT are published at monthly intervals on both NHS England and NHS Choices websites.

Monthly surgery results are posted on the website each month and are also available on the noticeboard in the waiting room for you to see when you come to the surgery.
